Basics and Navigation

TILS provides a set of screens which you navigate by use of the toolbar which appears at the top of the screen, and enter data into appropriate forms as directed.

When you run TILS it displays the introductory form. Once you are up and running, the timesheet form will be the one most frequently accessed, so there is a button on the form which acts as a shortcut to that form.

Data Entry: When you are working in a data entry form, the following principles apply:

Ø        Yellow fields are mandatory. Where there is a save button it will only be enabled when all of these are filled in, and any values are non-zero.

Ø        Date fields allow you to enter the date manually in any sensible format, or to click the down arrow to bring up a calendar control as shown below. The date will always then be shown in the format: dd/mm/yyyy

If the focus is on any field, pressing the tab key takes you to the next editable field and selects the whole field so anything you type at that point will replace what is there. Clicking in an editable field will allow you to edit what is already in teh field

In most cases, the Save button on a form will only become enabled when all yellow (mandatory) fields are filled in. Note that you need to tab out of a field for it to be considered properly filled in.
